Merchandising & Planning Intern Summer 2022
Here at Zola we are seeking an exceptional Merchandising & Planning Intern to join our 2022 Summer Intern class! The ideal candidate will have an interest in e-commerce as well as a strong desire to gain the technical & practical knowledge required to launch a career in merchandising or planning. This person will work closely with all members of the Merchandising & Planning Team with a focus on Paper & Invites (Zolas in-house wedding stationery business) & Registry, & have exposure to all facets of the company including cross-functional partners in Operations, Marketing, & Design.
This is an exciting internship for someone eager to have a meaningful impact on an innovative, fast-growing company in the online wedding registry & stationery space. The ideal candidate is a problem solver with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Strong attention to detail & proven time management skills are a must.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct competitive analysis on wedding stationery trends & share findings with the team
- Manage & update Paper & Invites newness tracker with imagery & launch dates
- Manage online product content for Zola Registry, including product descriptions, copy, & pricing
- Build & maintain databases of product attribute data & pricing
- Respond, research inquires/issues from external customers relating to customer service questions
- Pull reporting for sales, order tracking & other analyses
- Support the Merchandising & Planning Team, performing supportive ad hoc projects & tasks as necessary
- Support the department's visual merchandising on the site
QUALIFICATIONS
- Working towards a Bachelors Degree (rising Junior or Senior)
- Must be able to problem solve, make decisions, think critically, & analytically
- Have an intellectual curiosity & eagerness to grow professionally
- Able to work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
- Proficient in Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritize workload to meet changing priorities
- Able to establish relationships with internal & external partners
- Entry Level/Prior work experience & e-commerce knowledge preferable but not required
