The beauty editor is responsible for writing discerning, compelling & best-in-class beauty content & features. This person will uphold the Coveteur beauty ethos throughout all touch-points, as well as work with creative voices from a variety of backgrounds to bring new & diverse perspectives to Coveteur's content. This role will interface with many beauty & industry executives & will report to the Head of Content.
Ownership of regular correspondence with PR agencies & brands. This may include in-person events & press trips where you act as brand ambassador for Coveteur.
Ideate on new beauty franchises, video concepts, tentpoles & other series-these can be tied back to Editorial, as well as Branded opportunities.
Research beauty trends & innovations & report on them, as needed.
Write 7-10 stories per week, including oversee larger initiatives & branded programs.
Coordinate branded content development & packages with the production & sales teams.
Manage editorial fellow/intern on writing, product management, & PR lists.
Attend regular desksides with advertisers & emerging brands to learn about new launches & initiatives.
Interview beauty experts, influencers, & creative industry people for upcoming features & initiatives.
Participate in Coveteur video initiatives & branded opportunities, as needed.
Collaborate with Head of Sales to develop sellable concepts & help bring them to market.
Participate in sales calls' with salespeople in order to represent & speak to beauty content & potential partnership initiatives.
Minimum 2 years' digital experience producing high-quality beauty content & editorials (preferably in a digital environment).
Organization & strategic ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
STRONG understanding of the beauty industry, its key players, & the competitive landscape.
Experience using a CMS to publish daily content.
Excellent written & verbal skills. Must be a creative thinker who loves beauty & independent expression & wants to bring unique voices together & share a narrative of change around the beauty industry.
Social media-savvy, & experience using social platforms to monitor conversation & trends.
Robust sphere of social media influence preferred.
Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, & develop actionable recommendations.
