SoundCloud is seeking a Head of Show Development to partner with the SoundCloud Editorial team on new show concepts on a contractor basis. Our Editorial team produces original series that serve as an entertaining platform to highlight trends, amplify scenes, & market high-potential artists that are developing on SoundCloud, & releases them in a variety of formats, across a variety of platforms.
In this role, youll be responsible for developing new series opportunities: fielding pitches, identifying trends & helping establish SoundClouds strategic development goals for SoundCloud Original Series programming.
Responsibilities
- Design & implement SoundClouds new & current programming development approach, building a global portfolio of shows that represent the future of music entertainment
- Build, maintain & expand senior strategic relationships with talent agencies, directors, production partners & various digital networks
- Discover & pitch new show ideas to SoundCloud Editorial team
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders to ensure creative vision for each show or series acquired is fully realized
- Serve as a creative leader & role model, championing whats new & next in culture
Skills
- 10+ years of experience in digital content and/or television, with a minimum of 5 years in a production or development role
- A track record of acquiring & developing hits across music, fashion, sports and/or lifestyle spaces
- A stellar network of senior-level partners at top agencies & production houses
- Impeccable written & verbal communication skills
