About the Role:

As a Full Stack Engineer at Capsule, you will be responsible for building features & user interfaces that enable a seamless customer experience. You will work closely with the logistics & operations teams to design & develop software to enable them to deliver medication precisely & efficiently. You will work closely with pharmacists to design & develop software that enables them to scale up the number of prescriptions they are able to safely & efficiently fill, making free same-day delivery of medication available to more & more people.

  • Implement the features & user interfaces of Capsules applications targeting diverse categories of end users including: consumers, pharmacists, doctors, & logistics personnel.
  • Design, build, & maintain APIs, user-facing experiences, services, & systems.
  • Leverage the best of Capsules stack or build from the ground up when necessary.
  • Debug production issues across services at multiple levels of the stack.
  • Write maintainable & extensible code with high quality tests & documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to solve customer & logistical pain points.

  • 2+ years full stack development experience.
  • Familiarity with modern JavaScript build pipelines & tooling.
  • 2+ years of HTML/CSS experience, including concepts like layout, specificity, cross browser compatibility, & accessibility.
  • 2+ years of JavaScript experience including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, types, & ES6.
  • Experience working with  client-side JavaScript (ES6/React), HTML/CSS, Python (Django), & REST API development using Node.js.
  • Experience working with relational databases & PostgreSQL.
  • Ability to understand business requirements & translate them into technical requirements.
