Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring an Optimization Manager to join our Clinical Optimization team.

About the role

As a Manager within our Optimization team, you will work with multiple department leaders to further improve the success & optimization of Oscar's operations. You will ensure operational success, including driving the development of process improvements & facilitating support where needed. You will report out on projects, efforts, & KPIs for your department.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Utilization Management Strategy & Operations. This is a hybrid role, & you will work part of the time in the Tempe, Arizona office & part of the time working remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Determine & uncover new opportunities for process improvement
  • Identify, scope, & deliver on initiatives that aim to reduce costs & improve the experience of key partners through operational & strategic improvements
  • Refine operational processes for program oversight to ensure compliance & scalability
  • Support your team & leadership by driving decisions & implementation
  • Interface with Oscar business leads to drive discussions & ensure deliverables are completed on time & remove roadblocks
  • Development of direct reports, ensuring that colleagues are supported in professional development

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree or commensurate 4 years of experience
  • 5+ years of experience in program management
  • Process improvement experience, including using data & metrics to improve programs
  • Experience delivering projects / programs independently & within a team environment
  • Accomplished enterprise-wide initiatives: defined project plans, coordinated resources, managed implementation activities, & developed all processes associated with program rollout & ongoing support

Bonus points

  • Master's Degree
  • Lean/Six Sigma Certifications
  • PMP Certifications or Program Management Certifications
  • Healthcare experience (Health Insurance, Health Systems, or Healthcare Consulting)
