The Role: Senior Product Manager II, Data Platform & Business Intelligence

We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager (fully remote) to set & drive the strategic direction of Rue Gilt Groupes analytics platforms, which power our unique flash sales model & our most valuable asset: our data. 

In this role, you will make a significant impact on both our business intelligence & data products to unlock insights for stakeholders & the overall business to drive the strategic direction of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Product Management function for the RGG Business Intelligence & Data Platform engineering teams
• Engage & communicate key updates to leadership
• Work directly with internal customers (at all levels) & engineers to identify data platform & visualization requirements & discover new areas of innovation
• Understand & quantify trade-offs to prioritize data & business intelligence engineering projects
• Be an evangelist for data, data visualizations & self-service analytics
• Write & manage user stories in an agile environment; develop short- & long-term strategic roadmaps
• Be a champion of data quality

• 5-7 years experience as a product manager in an Agile environment, ideally in the Data Products & Business Intelligence space
• Ability to communicate effectively across a disparate set of stakeholders with a range of technical skills & data literacy
• Proficient project management skills
• Get things done mentality & more importantly, you motivate others to drive their tasks to completion as well Analytical chops & decision-making skills to diagnose & identify as well as formulate effective action plans to resolve issues
• Experience with data visualization software such as Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing fundamentals
• Nice to have experience writing SQL queries to explore & QA data
• Nice to have basic understanding of statistics & statistical testing (A/B Testing)
• Nice to have experience in ecommerce
