Our mission is to make biology easier to engineer. Ginkgo is constructing, editing, & redesigning the living world in order to answer the globe's growing challenges in health, energy, food, materials, & more. Our bioengineers make use of an in-house automated foundry for designing & building new organisms.

Core to our organism engineering pipeline is the testing & analysis of our engineered strains. We leverage high-throughput screens & selections to measure thousands of strains at a time for improved enzyme activity of key steps or increased titers of final products. 

 

If you have interest in learning how to use cutting edge automation & software to understand, engineer & operationalize biology, perhaps a role as an HTS Test Engineer would be a good fit for you. Ideally, you have experience in the development & optimization of biochemical assays & microbial plate culture; & running large-scale screens.

 

As a fungal test engineer, you will design & execute laboratory experiments, generate & interpret data supporting the development of new processes & assays, & execute high-throughput screens. 

 

Other responsibilities will include learning about & applying new technical & scientific advances to your work, troubleshooting, data analysis, & reporting.
