Away is a global lifestyle brand with a mission to transform travel through products & content that inspire people to get away more. In support of our mission, we are seeking a Transportation Associate to join our Global Logistics team. 

Want to help us transform the travel experience? The ideal candidate will have had experience in various modes of transportation, product receipt & reconciliation, data organization & reporting. You will report to the Senior Manager, Global Logistics based in our New York City office.

What youll do:

  • Coordinate inbound product at North American 3PLs through maintenance of item master, ASN management appointment coordination & inbound product receipt & reconciliation 

  • Create, monitor & maintain KPI reporting to monitor cost & service levels & identify areas of continuous improvement

  • Track outbound parcel SLA compliance through Aways parcel network identifying areas for opportunity & improvement

  • Monitor parcel exceptions in coordination with our Customer Experience & parcel providers on behalf of our customers to ensure timely delivery & facilitate a positive customer experience when an exception occurs

  • Manage ad hoc transportation requests to help maintain the day-to-day operations of the Global Logistics team

  • Work with key internal & external partners to ensure we achieve the optimal balance of speed, cost, quality, service, & sustainability - all while ensuring an amazing experience for our customers. 

  • Support the transportation team with Implement of transportation strategic projects in collaboration with supply chain partners, ensuring all programs meet rigorous standards for customer experience, financial performance & operational efficiency

Who you are:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation or freight operations roles

  • Have a sound understanding of over-the-road & parcel transportation principals or previous experience working in a logistics capacity

  • Excellent project management & organizational skills

  • Critical thinking & analytical skills

  • Thrives in a very fast-paced environment that requires continual multi-tasking & prioritization

  • Team player with a "no task is too small" attitude

  • Passionate about transforming travel (but thats a given!)
