Quick Take: Axios is a new digital media company that gets you smarter, faster with news that matters. We're hiring a Director, Product Marketing!

Why it Matters: Our new product marketer will revolutionize how we present our current & future Axios products externally to potential customers, investors, press, & analysts.

Go Deeper: This person will work closely with our Product, Growth, & Brand teams to define & execute our product go-to-market strategies, craft product narratives & messaging, & oversee creative execution of user acquisition, campaigns, & event marketing. They will also be responsible for the following:

  • Be a frontline team player & quickly scale to become the leader of the product marketing team
  • Manage the product/feature naming, visual branding, & trademark processes
  • Craft compelling messages, narratives, & positioning statements for product & feature launches & their 6-month post-launch marketing plans
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for new products & features
  • Collaborate with external comms team to execute comms strategy
  • Collaborate with Strategy & Sales teams to research & test different pricing models & price points
  • Collaborate with Growth team on creative & copywriting to achieve product growth KPIs
  • Support sales team with pitch decks & collateral
  • Develop competitive landscape & analysis for all of our products
  • Follow & analyze market trends to position products

The Details: Ideal candidates will embody an entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for Axios mission & have the following skills:

  • Deep Product Marketing experience at a digital or tech company
  • Experience launching & driving adoption for new products, owning & achieving key KPIs
  • Understanding of the marketing funnel & how to optimize it at each stage
  • Experience with copywriting & market analysis
  • Experience employing a range of product marketing tactics
  • Working knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, WebTrends, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills & leadership ability
  • Keen eye for detail & design
  • Analytical mind & strong quantitative skills
  • Wildly collaborative
