Visa HR Workforce Planning is executing on a key priority related to headcount management for Visa. The goal is to enable the organization to be nimble & execute on its priorities by getting the resources needed while at the same time ensuring appropriate governance.
This Sr. Director, HR Workforce Planning role will lead the overall management as well as day to day operations related to a newly constituted executive committee on headcount, chaired by key EC leaders. This will require engagement with senior leaders across various functions & regions. It will also require a very close partnership across HR & Finance. This role will have the opportunity to have a significant impact on Visa's future by helping drive the right balance between agility & thoughtfulness of resource deployment.
Engage with senior leaders across the organization to collect & collate requests for additional HC
Own coordination across program stakeholders to drive closure of issues & ensure alignment prior to the formal submittal to the committee for official approval
Provide guidance & consultation to program stakeholders on how the Headcount Approval Committee operates, materials required for submission, & assist in navigating overall logistics to ensure productive discussions & efficient, effective Committee operations
Provide guidance & oversee completeness of templates/business case submissions; provide feedback if gaps in submission to help ensure a robust discussion
Manage the calendar as well as communications with all key stakeholders
Schedule & run the meetings
Provide data & analytics to the committee to enable them to make the most informed decision
Track all approvals & ensure communication to all key stakeholders
Continuously evaluate Committee operations & solicit stakeholder input to identify opportunities for continuous improvement the process
Help influence the organization on making the resource asks only when other options have been exhausted
Partner closely with other parts of HR Workforce Planning & Reporting teams as well as the finance team
12 years of work experience with a Bachelor's degree or 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree
Master's degree in Finance, HR, Business Administration, Economics, Technology or a related field preferred
More than 10 years of prior relevant work experience preferred
Executive Program Management experience preferred
Strong verbal & written communication / business writing skills, strong executive presence with great attention to details & excellent interpersonal skills
Solid analytical & problem-solving skills; prior financial budget & forecasting experience preferred
Ability to work independently with strong time management & ability to execute on multiple concurrent deliverables with sense of urgency
Experience in managing / addressing escalations from senior leaders
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools (specifically Word & Excel, Access is a plus)
Knowledge of reporting systems such as SQL, Business Intelligence / centralized reporting systems, & other data visualization tools such as Tableau a plus
This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit & stand at a desk, communicate in person & by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones & computers, reach with hands & arms, & bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
