We are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to build Looker dashboards that enable data-driven decision making. You will work alongside data scientists & the Looker development team to translate business questions into impactful visualizations & metrics.

You will report to a Director of Data Science. This is a hybrid role. You will work part of the time in the New York City office & part of the time work-from-home/remote. #LI-Hybrid

Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal business teams to understand their reporting needs & build dashboards addressing those needs using Oscar's Looker models.
  • Train stakeholder teams to use Looker effectively.
  • Become a subject matter expert on Oscar's reporting suite. Connect teams with existing reports, assist with workflow integrations, & automate delivery of key reports. 
  • Become a subject matter expert on Looker development. Assist with troubleshooting, debugging, model design, & LookML code review.
  • Expand or refactor existing LookML code to meet business needs.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in data analytics or a related field
  • Experience with Looker or other BI tools (like Tableau, PowerBI, or Sisense)
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Strong communication skills, verbal & written. Ability to communicate between technical & non-technical users

Bonus Points

  • Python programming skills
  • Experience working with the Looker API or Python SDK
  • Experience with BigQuery
  • Experience working with healthcare data
  • Experience using version control in a collaborative environment (preferably git)
