We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join the CLEAR Plus Lanes team to build applications that are used by over 100k travelers at airports each & every day. It is one of the most critical & visible products at CLEAR. Our teams goal is to deliver our end users faster, safer, & touchless travel experiences using biometrics. We transform your biometrics into an encrypted code, & match your irises or face to your unique code every time you check-in.

What You Will Do:

• Lead the other frontend engineers in the team to solve our apps thorniest, most intractable technical problems
• Create & review architecture documents to make the right decisions from design through implementation
• Lead the operational excellence, including continuously improving reliability, performance, & security of our applications
• Promote best practices to make sure that the team code is well tested, readable, maintainable, & free of regression defects
• Partner with products & other stakeholders to innovate & to solve complex problems
• Make recommendations to balance feature development & tech debt to meet code delivery timeline
• Deliver quality products with focus on time-to-market & great customer experience
• Act as a mentor to other engineers on the team & be a part of helping them hit their maximum potential

What You Have:

• Experience defining system architectures & exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs
• 8+ years of experience developing clean, maintainable, & well-tested code
• In-depth knowledge of modern web technologies, including React.js, Redux, & TypeScript
• Experience with writing unit & integration tests using Jest, CucumberJS, & Spectron is nice to have
• Experience contributing to the architecture & design (architecture, design patterns, reliability & scaling) of new & current systems
• Experience defining system architectures & exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs
• Curiosity about technology, believe in constant learning, & ability to be autonomous to figure out what's important
• Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, & collaboration skills
