Job Description

The Sr. Director, Executive Education Master Traineris a member of Visa University's Market Learning organization with a dual reporting line to the Regional Head of Learning & the Head of Business Colleges. This role is responsible for the efficient & effective delivery of Leadership, Management, OnBoarding & Professional Skills training . The individual will be responsible for delivering training to senior leaders & executives within Visa. The ideal individual has significant experience & a proven track record in delivering & facilitating leadership, management, onboarding, professional skills, career development training & in helping to expand leadership capabilities in senior leaders. They will also have experience providing 1:1 executive coaching & Senior Leadership Team sessions, & be accredited to use known profiling tools & assessments, such as Hogan's, HBDI, DiSC to drive results & unlock potential. This individual will also have experience facilitating both live & virtual training programs.

Essential Functions

  • Delivers exceptional learning experiences to senior leaders ensuring NPS targets in region are met.
  • Leads by example & role models a passion for best-in-class training delivery.
  • Thought leader in design, facilitation & knowledge competence. Effectively utilize training delivery to promote & inspire a culture of learning that encourages continuous performance improvement, innovation, & learner engagement.
  • Builds on a strong experience of leading a Leadership & Professional skills training function to ensure effective delivery & relevance of the course content & training program to colleagues from across teams.
  • Draws on experiences of coaching leaders & running senior leadership team sessions to expand their capabilities & address key challenges.
  • Supports the localization of global content to ensure that the curriculum & examples meet local needs.
  • Captures new training program opportunities based on class inputs & interactions & collaborate with the regional consultants to ensure they are captured in the regional requirements with the Colleges & the Curriculum management team.
  • Supports Train the Trainer sessions for SME's & VU Faculty & act as an ambassador / champion of the program.
  • Collects regional feedback on Business curriculum & provides feedback to the global Business colleges to help evolve centralized curriculum.
  • Builds a strong knowledge of the business, including internal & external trends within Leadership & Professional skills & keeps up to date with regional nuances.
  • Collaborates with partners across VU to ensure seamless delivery of programs including ensuring that classes are set up, technology & AV requirements are functioning, capturing attendance & driving attendee completion of feedback.
  • Support the ROI strategy for key global initiatives & the collection of regional ROI metrics to support that strategy.
  • Manages the workload & assignment of facilitation across the team.


Basic Qualifications

  • 10 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 12-15 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • Significant experience in leading a Leadership & Professional Skills training function & working closely with internal stakeholders to build capabilities.

  • Significant experience developing senior leaders & track record of high learner engagement at executive level

  • Passion for training delivery & experience of designing, delivering, presenting & facilitating content to both large & small groups.

  • Knowledge of the payments business, preferably Visa's products & services.

  • Strong, professional executive presence & business acumen.

  • Proven critical thinking & problem solving skills. Ability to identify opportunities & be innovative.

  • Passion for teaching & facilitation & providing the best learning experiences for learners.

  • Experience delivering formal or informal learning programs using single channel or blended approaches, including virtual & classroom-based instructor-led training (ILT), peer-to-peer learning, on-the-job learning & eLearning (achieves NPS of +80 & higher).

  • Ability to comprehend & translate complex technical concepts into terms that are easy to understand for non-industry audiences in an influential & persuasive manner.

  • Strong stakeholder management, relationship management & influencing skills at all levels in an organization.Strong communication (written & verbal) & consulting skills.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity & rapidly changing content & strategies.

  • Experience quantifying ROI for key initiatives.

  • Location is flexible & requires willingness & ability to travel up to 50% as needed to deliver training.

  • Fluent English required.

Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit & stand at a desk, communicate in person & by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones & computers, & reach with hands & arms.

Work Hours

Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours.

Travel Requirements

Location is flexible & requires willingness & ability to travel up to 50% as needed to deliver training.
