Jackpocket is the first mobile lottery app in the U.S. that offers players a secure way to order official state lottery tickets, such as Powerball, Mega Millions, & more, via their smartphones. We're creating a more convenient, fun, & responsible way to play the lottery by modernizing the $300B global lottery market with a mobile platform that everyone, including grandma, can feel good about.

As a key member of Jackpockets Front End Engineering team, youll play an active role in the continued development of the platform & drive significant functionality & user experience enhancements. Youll work closely with front end team members as well as backend & product stakeholders to develop new features & contribute to the optimization of Jackpockets software development life cycle. 

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with various teams to build & ship new application features
• Work with third-party vendors to integrate new features & components
• Perform maintenance on the application & various private & public libraries
• Evaluate & implement new technologies to improve the application and/or  development practices
• Continuously review & ensure code is high quality
• Contribute to architecture design in collaboration with backend & other engineering resources 
• Contribute to the development of automated testing & CICD workflows

Qualifications

• 5+ years of iOS native development experience in Swift 
• Experience working with a large, complex iOS application
• Working knowledge of remote web services, varying serialization formats, & data persistence techniques
• Familiarity with Git or other modern code repository systems
• Experience working with a remote API 
• Experience using Storyboards & Auto-Layout
• Knowledge of MVVM architecture

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience making animations
• Passionate about UI design
• Interested in functional programming

The base compensation range for this role is $170,000 - $190,000
