What youll do:

As our Sr. Manager, People, youll have the unique opportunity to be a part of launching the first
Brandless Fulfillment Center & youll play an instrumental role in defining its culture, objectives,
policies, & people-related processes. We are seeking an inspiring, compassionate, & analytical
leader who has high standards, strong judgement & can embody our five Brandless intentions: Build
Community, Create Trust, Make It Better, Cultivate Inclusivity, & Be All In.

Reporting to Brandless Head of People, you will be integral to creating the fulfillment center launch
process from hiring the leaders, to designing & getting alignment on processes, to helping to establish the fulfillment centers culture, & supporting the needs of our primarily non-exempt employees. You will be required to do this all collaboratively & quickly, so youll need an easy ability to lead & influence peers, senior leaders, & other partners across the company & a sense of humor & inherent optimism would be ideal.

In your day-to-day, youll partner with both the People Team & the General Manager in achieving business needs, while taking responsibility for developing & scaling leadership & culture as the company grows. You will support all onsite labor & employee relations issues, & will partner with our Director of Compliance to ensure workplace safety & other policies are established & adhered to.

You will be accountable for establishing & measuring People metrics such as attendance, attrition, & onboarding, as well as Culture metrics, such as employee engagement & morale. Youll be the primary leader responsible for delivering people & culture results onsite, developing scalable mechanisms that can be replicated across the fulfillment network as it grows.

Building Culture: What is your ideal picture of a people leader? We are excited to craft a positive

passionately working to remove barriers are the norms. Youll be at the helm in this, partnering
with leaders & employees to build this people-focused & high-performing culture, using your
own experience & the Brandless culture as your guides.

Doing: How do you approach project timelines? Do you have a strong bias for action? Do you ask
how we could go faster while staying responsible & well-coordinated? Things move quickly at
Brandless, so its essential to stay clear on priorities & communicate thoughtfully & often as
we drive to achieve our objectives.

Building: You will develop people processes & mechanisms, in many cases from scratch, and
you will be responsible for communicating & managing these processes within the company.
Well want you to understand how operations is an intersection of people & process, & for
you to focus on creating ways of working that holistically develop the team & the site, and
ultimately unlock performance.

Collaborating: Collaboration is key at Brandless so as you build, youll need to make sure you
are closely connected to the core People team, to the General Manager & other onsite leaders,
and to all other critical stakeholders across the company.

What youll need:

  • Mastery of federal & state employment laws
  • Experience working with & supporting large, primarily non-exempt teams
  • A minimum of 10+ years in HR, with at least 5 years in a management capacity & ideally (but
    not necessarily) supporting a warehouse or distribution center
  • BA/BS degree in HR or a related field
  • Deep experience partnering with business leaders to drive high-performance in teams
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills, a growth mindset, & the ever-present desire to learn
  • A passion for building diversity, inclusion & belonging within teams
  • Excellent communication skills
