What youll be responsible for:


As a Director of Business Development & Partnerships on the Venture team, you will report directly to the cofounders of SeedInvest & build a broad network of collaborative relationships to quickly accelerate deal origination. You will, among others, build key relationships with accelerators, venture capital firms, growth equity firms, law firms, startup industry organizations, & other key stakeholders in the broader startup ecosystem & venture markets. You will be the first individual dedicated to this function & expected to hit the ground running on day one, by ideating, implementing, & refining scalable processes & systems for a growing team.


What you'll work on:


  • Establish a new business development initiative at SeedInvest in heavy collaboration with the existing venture team.



  • Aggressively build a broad network of deep relationships with Venture Capital firms, Accelerators, & other potential sources of dealflow.



  • Establish, evaluate, & negotiate new multi-million partnerships with key stakeholders in the startup ecosystem & venture markets.



  • Accelerate demand for SeedInvests capital formation products & services through partnerships & referral networks.



  • Establish, manage, & expand weekly business development KPIs.



  • Actively collaborate with the venture team, the marketing team, & the broader revenue organization at Circle.

What you'll bring to Circle:


  • 10+ years of business development experience in investment banking or investment firms in Venture Capital, Private Equity, or Growth Equity.



  • Professional knowledge of private capital formation.



  • A deep passion for & understanding of startup ecosystems, venture markets, entrepreneurship, & SeedInvest.



  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate & establish multi-million dollar partnerships with c-level or similar executives.



  • Leadership experience building & scaling teams responsible for business development & sales within fintech, banking, payments, & financial services products.



  • A belief that transparency, honesty, the team, & the mission are more important than any job description.



  • A passion for building at the earliest stages with a deep care for contributing & improving company processes.



  • Enjoy moving at a fast pace, building a long-lasting foundation, & helping our customers thrive.



  • You hold Series 82 & 63 licenses (otherwise youre expected to get licensed within 3 months).



  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Slack, & AppleMacOS preferred

Location: While our HQ is the internet, ideally this candidate is based in the East Coast time zone. Candidates should be aware that the majority of the team is based in the NYC & Miami areas & that the workday is scheduled around the East Coast time zone.
