Position Overview

The Product Strategy Lead, Social is a key player in the Product Management Team. They will serve as a cross-functional market-facing leader that will assist strategic direction & go-to-market activities for DVs Social product suite. The role involves evangelizing Social product capabilities internally & externally, ideating on innovating new products & strategy, assessing competitive landscapes, & assisting with thought leadership pieces & business relationships. The role requires big data analyses & attention to detail, as well as a good product intuition. Communication skills are incredibly important, as the position interfaces across functions. 

In order to be successful in this role, the candidate must:

  • Lead strategic & cross-functional efforts related to DVs Social products
  • Understand business & client use cases in order to evangelize DVs Social Products, create any necessary internal or external training & processes, & assist with go to market materials in partnership with Product Marketing, Account Management, & other DV product teams
  • Gather & analyze product analytics & insights, translating the results into internal & external recommendations
  • Work closely with Product Managers on product related questions & analysis
  • Proactively communicate & follow-up between teams to identify issues before they become blockers, & maintain a steady, organized stream of communication/status on open items
  • Be an advocate for client-facing teams by understanding the DV customer & Account Manager expectations & help Product bridge the gap to be a good internal partner
  • Understand strategic & competitive position & guide products to be recognized best in industry
  • Gather & analyze product & business analytics & insights
  • Contribute to industry thought leadership by collaborating on webinars, conferences, & white papers/blogs
  • In concert with Business Development, assist or lead external partnership efforts related to Social products
  • Research & stay informed on key companies that could impact Social products

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge & experience in social media advertising
  • Strong analytical skills & critical thinking
  • 3+ years of full time working experience in online advertising
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Organized with a rigorous attention to detail
  • Ability to converse & work equally as well between sales, technical, client, & leadership teams
  • BA/BS degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge & experience with digital advertising technologies
  • Successfully led new products or features to market
  • Experience working as a digital media planner or related field
  • Hands-on experience with SQL & data visualization tools (DataStudio, Splunk, etc.)
