Visa's Financial Planning & Analysis team is going through an exciting period of new growth as we seek to expand our level of influence from financial planning to more strategic decision support. To achieve this objective, we have substantially grown our team in both headcount & skill set. We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to drive the decision support, analytics & reporting across the entire team. This position will play an instrumental role in redefining how we measure business performance, rebuilding & automating our reports & analyses, & preparing ad hoc analysis in response to questions from our business partners.
Responsible for providing financial planning & analysis broadly for Visa's Business Functions as well as direct support for one or more of Visa's business functions.
Establishes & maintains relationships with a broad base of key stakeholders (i.e. executives & staff) & serves as a key point of contact for finance issues.
Acquires & maintains an understanding of the strategies, priorities & issues of the divisions supported.
Leads the coordination, organization & execution of quantitative & qualitative analyses for areas supported. Examples of activities include traditional budgeting & forecasting, month-end close, enhanced financial/business reporting, business case development, pricing analysis, P&L generation & business planning support.
Provide support for areas supported, consolidation activities & executive management reporting deliverables
While financial analysis will clearly be an important element of the role, the emphasis is on applying overall analytical skills & experience to become a highly valued business partner.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or
a related field required
At least 5 years of relevant financial analysis work experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking or management consulting
Outstanding analytical skills; able to resolve business problems with well-structured analyses
Ability to summarize forecast & budget variances with clear & succinct explanations
Competency to contribute to lively discussion with ability to quickly test findings & assertions against a financial body of knowledge
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills & ability to clearly communicate results with business stakeholders
Must be proactive, high-energy, motivated team player capable of delivering on multiple initiatives
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
Working knowledge in financial planning systems such as TM1 & Hyperion or similar
