Peloton continues to drive forward with new & innovative software for our award winning hardware such as the Peloton Bike+ & Peloton Tread.  We are also hard at work innovating on our iOS, WatchOS, Android, TV, & Web App Platforms.  We looking for a  Beta Test Program Manager, Software who will establish & grow our Software Beta test team, & processes specific to software & software feature based programs.  When you think of the kinds of features this role would cover, think of Peloton LaneBreak, outdoor running, & voice based experiences.  This group will reside within our software development organization, & will be chartered with building out the processes & team to support internal & external software specific beta tests.  It will co-exist with our hardware Beta test group.

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • Start by doing:  In partnership with our Product, Technical Program Management, & Software Engineering teams jump right in & identify 2-3 high value internal and/or external Beta trials to conduct, & run them to conclusion. Leverage this to learn, & to establish & document best practices
  • Build out a small nimble team of Beta Test Managers in parallel, through FTEs or Contractors; scale the team to 3 or 4 members within 6-9 months
  • Establish & maintain key Beta test relationships both internally & externally with critical suppliers
  • Provide direct & indirect support to Peloton internal & external test participants through accurate & detailed support practices. Maintain a friendly & helpful demeanor with testers at all times
  • Identify potential project pitfalls & help ensure successful completion of beta tests through effective communication & flexibility
  • Partner with our Hardware Beta team & meet regularly with them to minimize overlap & redundancy
  • Coordinates with internal stakeholders & test participants as appropriate on the resolution of problems. Is proactive in seeking assistance from other staff members as required to quickly resolve issues
  • Maintain accurate records of tests performed & results using our standard tools such as Confluence & JIRA.

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

  • 2 years direct management experience
  • BS with a technical degree, or have spent 7+ years in a technical field
  • You have 5+ years experience managing internal / dog fooding & external beta programs for Software
  • You are able to establish & maintain clear processes & procedures related to beta programs.
  • Experience with some of the tools (JIRA, Confluence), technologies (iOS / Android), & key beta test Vendors (Centercode, Applause, etc.) 
  • Technically proficient with a variety of mobile operating systems & computer hardware & software. Should grasp complex technology easily & be able to learn new information quickly.
  • Good work ethic with an ability to adjust to constantly shifting schedules & time demands.
  • High level of written & verbal communication skills. Works well with people.
  • Strong project & time management skills, a background in project management is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills & has the ability to track & support multiple projects. Very detail oriented.
  • Experience with SOWs & Contractors is highly desirable
