This position will be a key member of a fantastic team of compliance professionals in FanDuels Risk Management team reporting to the Senior Compliance Manager to work on optimizing processes across our compliance teams, as well as engagement points across teams, among other things.  In addition, the Compliance Senior Associate will support with general process & operational enhancement, service design, & ensuring that confidentiality & other regulatory requirements are fulfilled at all times.

The ideal candidate for this role has worked in a highly regulated industry.  Experience working for an internet, technology and/or media company, or with such companies, is a plus. That said, superior analytical, strategic, communication, & interpersonal skills are of paramount importance, as is a strong work ethic, attention to detail, a commitment to being a team player, & an aptitude to learn quickly the nuances of the internet, technology & media businesses.

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Support the Senior Compliance Manager in effective administration of regulatory operations & delivery of key components of regulatory compliance programs
  • Support design & delivery of regulatory compliance operations within an evolving legal & regulatory landscape
  • Holistic & specific process & workflow management, both within the compliance team & cross-functionally
  • Evaluating & enhancing the processes/interactions between Legal, Risk, Compliance & other teams within a culture of compliance
  • Evaluating & designing Regulatory Incident Report (IR) organization, with an eye towards cross-functional awareness, communication & efficient delivery
  • Evaluate & design metrics to show the Compliance functions impact across the company
  • Contribute to a Compliance Community that enables the larger Compliance team to be united in its processes, communication, & mission

What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Minimum of 2-3 years working in a highly regulated industry; tech company experience a plus
  • Effective writing & presentation skills
  • Demonstrated aptitude for application of critical thinking to process execution, including identification of process improvements
  • Ability to understand nuances of process & think clearly about solutions for competing priorities & prioritize work
  • Project Management experience
  • Highly organized with delivery experience
  • Ability to communicate clearly & efficiently, both orally & via email
  • Passion to work hard in a fast-paced, start-up environment
  • An exceptional team builder & team player, with a desire to be a leader within FanDuel
