Boxed is currently looking for a motivated Senior Category Manager that will work well in a fast paced & dynamic environment. This position will fully own P&L, assortment strategy & vendor relationships for the Household, Home, Pet, School & Office Categories. 

You will:

• Manage new & existing vendor partnerships 
• Identify white space assortment & category opportunities that align with company strategies   
• Own & grow category GMV & margin
• Ensure compliance with company policies & procedures
• Attend trade shows & identify new products to add to the current offering
• Determine best in class product assortment & competitive analysis studies
• Identify strategic buying opportunities with existing vendors
• Conduct other tasks expected:
• Forecasting to maximize sales & profits
• Negotiation
• PO handling
• Delivery & payment monitoring

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years experience in category management
• Experience in general merchandising categories is preferred
• Experience in the CPG industry is a plus
• Advanced understanding of E-commerce 
• Excellent communication & analytical skills
• Proficient in Excel
• Ability to learn & execute in a fast-paced, startup environment
