What youll do

As the Director, Tax Accounting you will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer in DoubleVerifys HQ in New York. You will be part of the Finance Team & work closely with DoubleVerifys legal & 3rd party teams. You will support the companies tax accounting function in all tax advisory matters for the organization to ensure efficient & compliant tax outcomes for DoubleVerify.

  • Responsible for the accurate & timely performance of various assigned functions in support of the monthly, quarterly & annual transactional tax returns & month-end close process
  • Ensure the accuracy of tax liabilities & payments, reports & data files; reviews the financial results & provides communication to management
  • Design & implement necessary controls to ensure the Company's tax liabilities & financial statements are accurate, reliable & in conformity with individual local & state laws as well as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Manage relationships with third party tax advisors
  • Define global tax strategy for the company across 14 jurisdictions
  • Ensure timely filing & generation of multi state tax returns
  • Review & approve all tax JE's
  • Review & approve all tax returns
  • Review & approve monthly/quarterly tax reconciliations
  • Calculate & maintains tax budgets

Who you are

  • Bachelor's Degree with a major in tax, accounting or related field from an accredited university
  • 10+ years of experience in tax accounting
  • Current knowledge of US GAAP
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of NetSuite
  • Ability to work independently, analytical mindset with strong problem solving skills & ability to recognize & recommend solutions
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills & the ability to communicate complex tax concepts to non-tax colleagues
  • Strong project management & presentation skills
  • Ability to build strong collaborative working relationships, internally & externally
  • Strong work ethic with an ability to multi-task, work under tight deadlines, & deliver in a timely manner
