Flywheel Sports is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Operations & Supply Chain to lead our end-to-end supply chain strategy for our At Home business. This individual will oversee manufacturing, demand planning, procurement & forward/reverse logistics. Ideally, the Director of Manufacturing Operations will have extensive experience bringing new products to market, working with contract manufacturers to develop & improve products, as well as structuring & optimizing a third-party logistics network that supports multiple partners. Initially, this will be an individual contributor role, but this individual will have the ability to quickly grow the team as the business scales. To be successful in the role, the individual must be excited about rolling up their sleeves, getting their hands dirty, & being willing & able to dig in. The Director of Manufacturing Operations & Supply Chain will report to the General Manager for Flywheels At Home (Home Bike) business.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Define & execute the end-to-end supply chain vision & strategy, ensuring best-in-class operations across all stages of supply chain

Assess & optimize our bike & accessories manufacturing processes, including selection of contract manufacturers for new product introduction

Identify & execute upon opportunities to streamline existing product manufacturing processes, with a focus on both quality & cost reduction

Drive competitiveness by reducing supply chain complexities

Oversee end-to-end logistics processes, from import to delivery to end customers & distribution partners

Optimize our third-party logistics network, from transportation to warehouse to in-home install & assembly

Ensure supply chain & logistics processes are designed to scale to distribution of tens of thousands of units across multiple US partners, including national retail & distribution partners

Partner with Customer Support to resolve customer issues (relating to in-home delivery / install) & optimize customer experience

Review current procurement approach across supply chain, identifying & executing opportunities for cost reductions

Lead supply planning processes for On Demand & studio businesses, ensuring optimal inventory allocation to support demand while minimizing inventory costs

Manage PO & invoice process with vendors & distribution partners


10+ years global supply chain experience, including 3+ years in supply chain leadership role

Past success at new product introduction in both a large company & start-up environments, including selecting & working with contract manufacturers to optimize products

Experience overseeing a global logistics network, including logistics/fulfillment into retail/distribution & warranty support

Familiarity with third-party logistics providers

Ability to think strategically & communicate at the executive level, coupled with top-notch organizational skills & an attention to detail

Highly analytical & data-driven

Top-notch negotiation skills

Prior experience with NetSuite or similar ERP, inventory control and/or procurement management system desired

Prior experience working with oversized/bulky products a plus
