Warby Parker is on the lookout for a Product Manager to help oversee strategy, product roadmaps, & business outcomes for our cross-functional product team responsible for accounting & insurance systems. In this role, youll help create world-class software applications that power Warby Parker day in & day out.  Working closely with our leadership team, in-house Engineering team, external partners, & other stakeholders, youll set targets & conduct analyses to prioritize features that improve those metrics.

What youll do:

  • Manage the product team in charge of supporting Warby Parkers finance & accounting systems 
  • Determine the overall strategy for your product focus area, translating business needs into a product vision
  • Scope new internal features & products, working with your teammates to gather requirements, write business cases, track progress, & deliver value
  • Collaborate with tech & business stakeholders to determine which components of our systems to build internally or purchase externally
  • Create & communicate roadmaps based on Warby Parkers business objectives & metrics
  • Ensure that stakeholders stay informed about relevant progress & decisions regarding each product
  • Help write, edit, & maintain product documentation


Who you are:

  • Backed by 35 years experience building & owning a product roadmap for a set of internal users
  • Familiar with accounting systems, processes, reporting, & practices: general ledgers, subledgers, debits & credits, revenue recognition, LIFO, FIFO, weighted average cost, ERP transactions
  • A naturally curious person who dives deep into any available information to better understand the task at hand
  • Meticulously organized & detail-oriented
  • A successful collaborator who thrives in a team environment
  • Someone who communicates well (i.e., clearly, kindly, & proactively) with people in & outside of your own department
  • Able to convey complex issues succinctly & with the appropriate priority
  • Comfortable multitasking to ensure deadlines are met


Extra credit:

  • Experience with a full-cycle implementation of an accounting system, like NetSuite, SAP FI, or QuickBooks
  • Experience working for a company with a heavy consumer-facing element (like retail or e-commerce) and/or light manufacturing of consumer products
  • Formal knowledge of process improvement methodologies
