Reporting to the SVP of FP&A & Investor Relations & based in the New York Office, the VP of FP&A will serve as a critical member of the finance leadership team. S/he will be directly involved in standing up the holding company structure for Fanatics, leading the holding company's consolidated forecast process on a monthly, quarterly & annual basis as well as contribute to our long-range planning process.   The role will have significant exposure to the management team & be involved in strategic decisioning.

We are looking for an exceptional business partner, responsible for challenging & supporting the business, increasing the company's ability to anticipate business issues, & driving informed decision-making through sound financial management. The successful candidate must have the ability to function in a matrixed environment at a broad-based, strategic level while being capable of driving detailed, tactical execution.

What You'll Do
As a strategic thought leader, serve as the right-hand thought partner to the SVP of FP&A & Investor Relations as well as support the CFO & CAO
Help expand the current finance organization to support different segments of business
Contribute to the development & implementation of a new global finance operating model that will deliver significant short & long-term improvements across finance's processes, systems, & tools.
Manage a high-functioning Finance department that is collaborative & delivers a high quality forecast process as well as decision support.
Ensure that the Finance team is briefed on their mandate & accountable in supporting performance & success.
Together with the management team, embody a culture of humility & high performance, all while driving initiatives forward with a progressive cadence to stay ahead of the company's ambitious agenda & plans for growth.
Drive a strategic talent plan, to ensure the development of finance talent while also hiring strategically across key functions needed to deliver upon growth plans.
Maintain & improve upon our long-range planning framework, providing leadership in the development & continuous evaluation of financial short-and-long-term strategic objectives.
Oversee the development, implementation, & tracking of our shorter-term budget.  Establish timelines, provide support to the leadership team & operational leaders, & hold business leadership accountable for delivery against targets & business objectives. Investigate & resolve variances in budgets, reporting, controls, & accounting.
Lead the process to accurately forecast results & ensure that all stakeholders have the appropriate tools to forecast results both internally & externally. Stir innovation & improvement of the financial planning & analysis processes & rigor to provide even higher value-added decision-making support to leadership.
Provide creative insights, implications, & recommendations about current & future financial trends & areas for improvement, focus or investment. Ensure that commercial ambition is balanced with effective & rigorous cost management.
Work collaboratively with the SVP of FP&A & Investor Relations as well as the CAO as we continue to expand our organizational footprint & commercial go-to-market strategy 
Create content for financial updates to the Board of Directors
Be a core contributor to all investor relations materials.
Be vigilant on creating lean processes where we value financial automation as well as strong collaboration & communication 

What We're Looking For

A proven conceptual & strategic thinker who is capable of distilling, packaging & presenting complex information in a clear, concise, & compelling manner
Must be seen as a strong business person who knows how to partner with senior executives & guide change.
An entrepreneurial & creative approach to developing new, innovative ideas that will stretch the organization & push the boundaries within the industry. The successful candidate will also bring with him/her immense curiosity; challenging the status quo & stirring innovative approaches to existing processes & operations.
The ability to effectively balance the desire/need for broad change with an understanding of how much change the organization is capable of handling, to create realistic goals & implementation plans that are achievable & successful
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in a broad range of functional disciplines including Marketing, R&D, Compensation & workforce planning, Accounting, Supply Chain, Sourcing / Procurement, Demand management & Strategy would be seen as a distinct advantage.
The ideal candidate should have at least 12 years of finance experience with increasing responsibility in core areas such as FP&A, Accounting, Equity Research and/or Commercial Finance.  Finance, Accounting or Economics undergraduate degree required.  MBA, CPA and/or CFA strongly preferred.
