Benefits & Compliance Specialist

BGB is a healthcare communications agency that offers a wide range of services, including traditional pharmaceutical advertising, promotional medical education, payer marketing, & consulting services. Known for excellence & professionalism, were hired as strategic & creative partners by our biopharmaceutical clients to drive category/brand awareness & growth. 

We have a flexible workforce, offering in-office (post pandemic), remote, & hybrid job opportunities.Our home base is in SoHo, New York City, where we have our large, light-filled duplex loft that features panoramic views of lower Manhattan. 

The Benefits & Compliance Analyst develops & delivers short- & long-term recommendations to ensure benefit programs meet the needs of a diverse workforce, while maintaining compliance with all legal requirements. Successful candidates will bring demonstrated benefit program knowledge within a dynamic strategic & creative organization. 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on the agencys benefit plans
  • Communicate regularly with employees to promote & explain agency benefits
  • Lead new hire orientation & open enrollment for all benefit offerings
  • Manage partnership with brokers & actively participate in strategic planning meetings
  • Keep up to date with regulations that may affect compliance
  • Conduct annual compliance reporting, including 1094-C & 1095-C, non-discrimination testing & ERISA requirements
  • Create annual benefit compliance communication notices & distribute accordingly
  • Manage full cycle leave administration for multiple states
  • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, & summarizing information & trends
  • Oversee paid time-off accruals in accordance with state regulations
  • Tracking & managing freelance benefit eligibility & enrollment
  • Processing benefit invoices

 

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Two years experience in HR and/or benefits administration
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Ability to work independently but with oversight from management
  • Must possess strong analytical skills & leverage data to guide decision-making
  • Must have excellent written & oral communication skills
  • Must have excellent attention to detail
  • Must be collaborative & a team player
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Outlook
