Job overview:

Omada is Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (also known as certified diabetes educators) for full-time positions (remote or in-office considered) to staff our virtual care programs. CDEs provide health education & support for patients participating in a home diabetes & blood pressure monitoring program. Day-to-day work will include lifestyle counseling & interpretation of home glucose & blood pressure data in a population with diabetes, hypertension, & obesity. You will serve as a leader within a rapidly growing virtual care coaching practice through both direct patient care & some oversight of other clinical staff.

About you:

You have a current certification as a CDE with experience and/or passion for cardiovascular health. You are a strong advocate for patients & clinical staff. You recognize the limitations of our current ambulatory care environment & want to be part of delivering care in a new way. You are creative & love to think strategically about problems & dont shy away from being a leader. You have experience in diabetes, hypertension, & hyperlipidemia education & management as well as in supervising & training a team. You enjoy preventive and/or ambulatory care, specifically patient education in a non-acute care environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Active, unrestricted Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) certification through the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (NCBDE)
  • 2-3 years of practice experience in diabetes, cardiovascular disease or primary care
  • Available to work full-time
  • Have stellar written & oral communication skills
  • A fast learner & are able to adapt to a constantly changing environment
