The Components team creates software & tools to support developers building data applications on the Looker platform. This covers a wide range of web components & SDKs, from buttons to dashboards, for both internal engineering teams as well as our partners & customers. Last year, we introduced components.looker.com
, a React based implementation of our design system. This year, we'll continue to improve our existing components & introduce new components like visualizations & filters.
The role of an Engineering Manager in the Application Platform group is to provide consistent clarity, focus, & leadership. You will do this through building trust with the teams & individuals over time. You will also work closely with other managers & disciplines in the org to ensure cohesion in the how & what of the work their teams deliver. Good leaders have a high degree of personal integrity, commitment & consistency. The ideal candidate will have strong web front end design & architecture experience, a proven track record of leading, scaling & growing teams, strong operational skills to drive efficiency & speed, strong project management leadership.
