The Manager for Commerce Paid Media & Growth will focus on affiliate growth & strategy within BuzzFeed Marketing & report to the VP of Strategic Partnerships. The position includes the full scope of BuzzFeed affiliate clients & potential operations within the broader Marketing department. The role will require working with cross-functional teams such as Affiliate, Commerce, Distribution, Account Management, Sales, Business Ops, & our external clients to ensure profitability, revenue growth, & client satisfaction.

You Will:

  • Manage paid media strategy, execution, & reporting of the affiliate & commerce business to ensure all client & internal goals are met
  • Thoughtfully integrate paid social media into larger business objectives, & evolve our content strategy based on new opportunities
  • Grow incremental profit opportunity through ad arbitrage resulting in commission, programmatic RPMs, & development of high value audiences
  • Expand & maintain media offerings to the current list of clients, including support of sales opportunities, strategic partnerships, & direct sold deals
  • Lead client communications where relevant on paid media partnerships & campaigns
  • Continuously develop new product offerings to accomplish client KPIs while maintaining profitability & incrementally
  • Manage relationships with social platforms & third party vendors to maximize the performance of existing campaigns & continuously innovate new tactics
  • Continually test & evaluate new strategies & partnerships in an effort to evolve & improve our product offering case studies - learnings- scale across commerce / BuzzFeed
  • Launch ads & manage campaigns (Facebook/Instagram/Google/DFP/Pinterest/Twitter/Snapchat/TikTok) for BuzzFeed commerce content partners & key BuzzFeed accounts
  • Mange & independently own media budget for all commerce & strategic partnership initiatives

You Have:

  • A 3+ years experience in paid media executing, reporting, & presenting to clients
  • Media buying experience on Facebook, Google, & other social platforms
  • Experience identifying meaningful, actionable insights to fuel nimble campaigns & initiatives
  • Ability to operate independently & collaborate with a large organization
  • An understanding of micro & macro consequences of business decisions
  • An understanding of media math, MMM & MTA
  • An understanding of all platform capabilities
