Were looking for a data-driven, detail-oriented search strategist to join our successful SEO team. The Senior Search Strategist utilizes search data to understand consumer behaviour, identify moments of intent during the user journey, & map those moments to the digital experience to identify gaps & opportunities. This individual is a well-rounded digital marketer with a background in both paid & organic search, content strategy, analytics, UX, social, & technical optimization. The successful candidate has several years of hands-on experience implementing holistic SEO/SEM strategies, a demonstrated ability to identify opportunities through data analysis, & can effectively monitor & evaluate search performance to driveongoing improvement.

You Will:

      • Own the development, execution, & optimization of search strategies for a variety of clients
      • Use search data to understand user intent, drive content strategy, & identify search opportunities
      • Conduct SEO/SEM audits & competitive analysis
      • Identify & implement technical optimizations (e.g. accessibility, indexability, structured markup, site speed improvements, broken links, etc.)
      • Make copy & content recommendations based on search insights
      • Work with creative, tech, content, & UX teams to incorporate SEO strategies & best practices
      • Perform comprehensive keyword research & on-page/off-page optimizations to improve digital presence & visibility
      • Keep current with the latest digital trends & identify potential applications for clients (e.g. speed, voice search, AI, machine learning automation, omnichannel search optimization, etc.)
      • Convey SEO concepts to clients in a concise, meaningful, & easy-to-understand manner
      • Monitor & report on search performance, evaluating current search initiatives & identifying both short-term & long-term opportunities for improvement
      • Define success metrics & translate SEO results to business objectives
      • Merchandise success stories & sell the benefits of new search projects
      • Pitch, launch, & optimize performance-driven SEM campaigns

You Have:

    • 4+ years of paid and/or organic search experience
    • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to use data to identify insights, make recommendations, & inform the development of strategies & projects
    • Current understanding of the search landscape, how consumers leverage search, & how brands can benefit from a strong search presence
    • Up-to-date knowledge of recent algorithm updates, search ranking factors, & industry best practices
    • Demonstrated achievements in improving search rankings & driving increased search traffic & visibility
    • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages to the audience, communicate complex topics simply, & deliver actionable insights & analyses
    • A systematic approach to identifying content & UX opportunities/issues, defining solutions, & executing action plans
    • Experience driving both paid & organic search strategies, & an understanding of how they should be integrated
    • Experience with web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Adobe Analytics, Google Search Console, Google AdWords, etc.)
    • Experience with SEO crawling, ranking, research, & audit tools (e.g. BrightEdge, SEMrush, Conductor, Moz, Screaming Frog, Deep Crawl, etc.)
    • Passion for staying current in a rapidly evolving digital environment
