We are a San Francisco-based healthcare & technology company looking for an experienced Platform engineer to join our growing team. Our program supports people in making lifestyle changes to improve their health, & ultimately, their lives. As a key member of our Platform engineering team, you will play a role in designing, building, & maintaining the systems & infrastructure necessary to support Omadas mission. The Platform Engineering team is responsible for both the operational integrity of our infrastructure & DevOps processes & works closely with the team responsible for empowering our engineers with developer tooling.

Your impact:
- You will be part of the development & operation of Omadas digital health program infrastructure.
- You will play a key role building & scaling our platform one piece at a time, supporting our ability to deliver a personalized experience to program participants & empower our health coaches to deliver timely & effective interventions
- You will work closely (including pair programming) with the rest of the Platform team, product engineering teams, & other technical teams.
- You will build cross-functional relationships with software engineers, data scientists, & technical program managers to understand stakeholder needs, & deliver solutions addressing those needs.
- You will manage high availability & disaster recovery systems, procedures, & readiness.
- You will maintain & troubleshoot CI/CD infrastructure.
- You will work with developers to design & improve developer tooling & capability, such as secrets-management or development environments.
- You will mentor & guide the professional & technical development of team members.
Requirements for this role:
- Experience designing & implementing cloud architectures, preferably AWS.
- Experience operating a container orchestrator (bonus points for Kubernetes clusters experience).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in, or willingness to learn, Terraform & Ansible.
- Experience in Application Performance Monitoring, metrics, observability, logging, etc.
- Great communication skills, both written & verbal. Skilled at writing documentation for others.
- Interest in working in a DevSecOps culture - were moving towards this. For example, our CI/CD pipelines have some automated security testing.
- Comfortable working in, configuring, & troubleshooting virtual Linux server environments.
- Building, deploying, and/or hosting Docker images & containers.
- Willing to participate in an on-call rotation, for the day that something important does break
Bonus points for:
- Experience with PostgreSQL.
