Maybe you have more of an eye for geopolitics or government -- our social studies content spans hundreds of topics & interests. As an Editor for the Social Studies product of Newsela youll have the opportunity to marry these passions with your keen eye for editorial standards. This position is first & foremost an experienced editor. You are also a manager of projects, people & content workstreams at Newsela. You leverage your attention to detail & editorial judgement to deliver thoughtful, well-balanced content that thoroughly educates K-12 students on social studies topics. Your interpersonal skills are unmatched & you can discuss & debate controversial topics (which abound with Social Studies) with ease, helping us make thoughtful & clear decisions around how we talk about history & politics.
