Visa's Emerging Payment Solutions team is seeking an experienced payments professional to join the US Emerging Payment Solutions Business Development team.
The Account Executive will be responsible for managing a broad base of small to medium size accounts in emerging issuance & payment categories across consumer & commercial sectors.Specific product solutions typically stem from debit, prepaid & credit along with various payment & disbursement solutions including Visa Direct. Clients are most often comprised of 3rd party, non-financial institution organizations & program managers.
Specific responsibilities include:
Manage a base of accounts including contract renewals, cross sell & general relationship management.
Manage & grow a process for direct client engagement with various resources & departments within Visa.
Utilize a consultative sales approach that ensures that the client's business objectives are met for the maximization of their portfolio performance
Expand the utility of Visa products & solutions by developing new use cases with clients
Provide analytics & analysis support in an effort to deliver greater consulting-oriented value for clients.
Continuously review payment landscape & recommend, develop, & implement new & creative approaches to growing Visa's prepaid, debit & disbursements business
Foster productive relationships at all levels with client & the Visa organization
Develop an understanding of the issuance & payments business including payment strategy across all product platforms
Participate in sales meetings & training activities
Provide support for key sales activities, including but not limited to:
Help provide strategic vision & thinking around new market segments & go-to-market
Stay relevant with competitive & industry information, trends, forward vision perspective - create way to communicate updates ongoing with team
Help develop & refine consistent account planning/management framework & guidelines
Salesforce engagement - responsible for pulling weekly reports, sending tips/tricks/ideas to increase team engagement
Assist marketing & product development in launching new products or expanding the penetration of existing products by providing market intelligence back into the organization
Contribute to the development of functional strategy
Provide operational or technical leadership within sales
Ensure implementation of annual goals & plans
Actively participate & lead various ad-hoc internal projects as assigned
- 10 years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
12-15 years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
5+ years of consultative selling experience
Debit & Prepaid product & market knowledge
Mobile/Digital & other leading payments innovation knowledge
Disbursements, Acquiring or Processing experience beneficial
Strong analytical & strategic planning skills
Confidence & ability to effectively createanddeliver presentationsto all audiences up to the executive levels
Ability to coordinate internal & external resources & nurture cross functional relationships
Ability to negotiate business agreements & enhance existing & new relationships
Demonstrated understanding of financial indicators to measure business performance & an ability to summarize business & financial data in a useful manner for planning & decision making
Proven ability to implement strategic initiatives with efficiency, professionalism & with demonstrated trouble shooting / problem solving skills
