About the Role: 

The Retention Director will be responsible for spearheading the strategy & operational process of retention at Chief. It will directly drive one of the business top KPIs member retention. The mission of the role is to craft the strategy of retention to hit our monthly & annual goals & to develop & drive scalable, repeatable processes that lead to best-in-class retention rates. Key responsibilities include aggregating data to provide strategic, actionable insights to optimize the renewals process, including the membership data, cohort analysis, engagement efforts, communications, tracking, & reporting of results. A combination of strategic insights, cross-functional collaboration, & customer success operational skills will be critical to this role. This role will report to the Chief Revenue Officer & work closely with the VP of Member Experience & VP of Marketing. 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for achieving our goal retention rates on a monthly & quarterly basis
  • Design & drive the strategy & process improvements that enable us to achieve our retention goal 
  • Project manage the monthly renewals process across all markets - ensuring each cohort has a defined goal, forecast, & strategy for retention
  • Leverage data to ensure accurate projections of retention rates & apply a data-driven approach to increasing the metric
  • Develop creative strategies to improve retention 
  • Cross-functionally collaborate across teams to influence & enact change 

What Were Looking For:

  • Over 5 years of relevant experience in strategy and/or operations
  • Track record achieving key results based on company goals
  • Experience motivating & managing an indirect team to drive toward a goal 
  • Analytical & creative problem solver with the ability to focus on short & long terms goals 
  • Comfortable communicating with members about their experience to optimize customer satisfaction & retention
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple ongoing processes & strong attention to detail
  • Proactive self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate, present, & influence at all levels, including executive & C-level
  • Experience in membership, sales, or customer success organizations a plus
  • Passion for the Companys mission, positioning, & brand to empower women in business & spark change from the top
  • BA/BS required
