WHO WERE SNIFFIN FOR: 

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Retail & Partnerships Marketing to drive consumer engagement & to accelerate the growth of BARK at retail & in the real world.  In this role, you will be responsible for driving BARKs consumer awareness, engagement, & sales outside of our direct-to-consumer channels, across all Retail channels (food, drug, mass, club, lifestyle) & BARKs marketing Partnerships (branded collaborations).  

Responsibilities include:

  1. Strategic leadership of retail & partnerships marketing (including the data & analytics to drive informed decision-making),
  2. The development of marketing campaigns to support key product initiatives at Retail & branded collaborations with select Partners,
  3. Business management of the Retail & Partnerships Marketing function at BARK (budget, KPIs, performance tracking).  

You will lead a direct team consisting of experts in the areas of retail data & analytics, retail marketing, & social content.  You will also collaborate with cross-functional partners across the company.

We seek a smart, creative, strategic entrepreneur who shares our passion to drive ambitious growth in the world of retail & to do so in a way that is unexpectedly BARK human, magical, & from the dogs-eye view.  The best candidates will come with 6+ years of marketing experience & a track record of building brands & driving business.  Key qualities include strategic thinking, creativity, marketing innovation, & cross-functional team leadership.    

KEY DUTIES:

  • Recommend, develop, & execute marketing strategies, plans, & programs for specific product lines within the BARK portfolio. These include advertising, social/ digital communication, retail programming, in-store visual merchandising, & event programming.
  • Aspire to create strategic shopper programs. Youll do this through digital & social media, customer loyalty programs, account-specific marketing assets, & disruptive point of sale tools that drive awareness & conversion.
  • Build strong relationships (both internally & externally) across BARK sales, planning, marketing, PR, merchandising, & creative design teams, as well as among external customer marketing teams. 
  • Lead cross-functionally by setting marketing plan objectives & goals, gaining alignment on marketing strategies, & driving flawless execution that is on time & on-budget. 
  • Set program KPIs, track & report on program performance, & conduct post-program analyses with recommendations how to optimize in the future.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 6+ years marketing experience with a proven track-record of driving retail awareness & engagement.
  • A proven ability to develop & deliver against actionable insights
  • Shopper marketing, channel & event experience preferred; experience with shopper data such as Nielsen & a proven track record in leveraging analytics to drive decision making a plus
  • Experience in persistently but diplomatically navigating matrixed organizations to solve problems big & small.
  • Experience in confidence building relationships with external partners

  • Youre a crazy dog person & youre not afraid to own it. Its to the point that you own several items of clothing, all of which say different variations of Im a crazy dog person & Im not afraid to own it.
