That may mean deepening their current skill set or learning something entirely new. We are looking for a Head of Learning & Development to lead our global, professional development efforts. This position reports to the Head of People, & is a critical member of the People Team leadership team.
The Head of Learning & Development will set the strategy for onboarding, development & retention at Cloudflare. This includes assessing current needs, creating engaging & highly relevant programs, leading engagement surveys & other feedback loops as well as measuring outcomes to objectively assess our efforts & effectively iterate.
We are looking for a leader who will oversee a small but mighty team of learning professionals who are focused on onboarding, individual & management development, community & belonging. These initiatives span every level, all roles & all our geographies. Because of this, everything we do needs to scale, & we come at things with a global-first mindset. We have built the foundation but there is still a lot of work to do. There is still a lot of room for creation & innovation.
This role will partner closely with company leadership & People Team Business Partners to ensure our talent development efforts are correctly prioritized & produce the right results. This does not happen in a silo or a vacuum but is informed by your understanding of our team members across all levels of the organization to ensure our programs are responsive to their needs for today & the future.
Who You Are
You are a seasoned L&D leader who has led diverse teams, ideally in a high growth, global environment. You balance the academic side of learning with a high business acumen to drive results. You understand technical environments, & ideally have experience working with virtual/remote orgs or teams. You are motivated to help individuals realize their potential, create highly productive teams & build effective organizations. You understand how to align development offerings with company culture & our employees cultures so programs address specific needs & resonate deeply. You are able to measure the effectiveness of each offering & the overall program overall.
You are a pragmatic leader who can toggle between high level strategy & rolling up your sleeves to get work done. Your experience owning a learning budget has helped you develop a good sense of what you build in-house & what you buy off the shelf. You get excited about feedback loops & learning cultures, & have a number of innovative ideas in those areas.
Your communication skills are world-class & can pivot your message to appeal to different audiences (from sales org to the deeply technical). You have a bias for on-the-job learning, yet you also use classroom instruction & online programs in compelling ways.
Your high business acumen drives your approach to development & makes you an effective, consultative partner to business leaders & across the People Team. You like data.
