As our Country Director France, your role will be to bring Qonto's business in France to the next level, continuing its hyper-growth & consolidating Qonto's position as B2B leader in business finance management. You will be a real "all-rounder", owning all the business verticals & also be the main external spokesperson for Qonto in France.
You will report directly to our CMO/CRO,
Elizabeth, who leads the Global Growth, Marketing, & Sales & Local Country teams. You will be a member of Elizabeth's Growth leadership team & of Qonto's extended leadership team. Your direct team will be composed of 20+ high-performing talents in Sales, Key Account Management, Partnerships, & Marketing & growing fast.
As a VP, Country Director France at Qonto, your responsibilities will be:
Overall business performance:
Drive the Country's business strategy & the overall performance across business functions including sales & marketing, acquisition & revenue growth, operations, customer service, & all other aspects of the business including financial & legal topics to maximize MRR & other key metrics.
Management:
Build, manage & develop the Qonto France team, based in Paris or remote, composed of 20 talents expected to more than double in 2022, including local marketing, partnerships, sales, & account management talents
Lead the broader cross-functional team also supporting France including the central Growth team functions (Marketing & Communications, Acquisition, Revenue Growth, Partnerships) & other core functions such as Product, Customer Success, Operations, Strategic projects, Legal, Finance to ensure the implementation of the strategy
Sales, account management:
Drive inbound & outbound sales & account management of top clients
Marketing & communication:
Public relations: Be the local spokesperson of Qonto in France & maximize our media coverage; attend events in Paris & other French regions/cities to maximize our awareness & share of voice (and hence market share)
Ecosystem development: grow Qonto's awareness & reputation through events & partners
Collaborate with central marketing to deliver offline brand campaigns
Acquisition & revenue growth:
Collaborate with central teams to ensure Qonto has great traction in France using SEO/SEA, affiliation, referral, website conversion, & CRM
Identify new business development opportunities within the market
Partnerships:
Source, execute & drive value from local partnerships to address businesses needs
Product:
Work closely with our Global Product & Product Marketing teams to support research, input to product roadmap & go-to-market for product launches
Ensure successful local planning & the execution of the product go to market
About You
Experience: You have 8+ years of experience as a top performer for a leading digital company (scale-up or global tech) with a first experience in a top-tier consulting firm with financial services.
Team leadership: You thrive on developing talented team members & helping them continuously improve & meet ambitious goals. You are also strong at breaking silos & enjoy working cross-functionally.
Strategic, structured & rigorous: You have the ability to develop a clear strategy & priorities & ensure high-quality execution to meet P&L objectives
Commercial: You have commercial experience (business development, partnerships, sales strategy). Outbound lead generation & sales are a plus.
Deep understanding of the French market: You are native French, know why a service such as Qonto is needed & the value it will bring to French SMEs & freelancers. Plus, you have ideas on how to bring Qonto to the next level of growth.
Entrepreneurial mindset: You have an analytical spirit & you are also hands-on. In addition, you have strong business development skills.
Communication skills: You have strong oral & written communication skills that help you communicate with several teams internally & also be a strong external spokesperson.
Languages: You are a native French speaker & very fluent in English. Italian, German & Spanish languages are a plus.
Education: You have a Master's degree from a leading business or engineering school.
You are willing to travel up to 25% of the time mainly in France (from Paris).
