Vice President, Benefit Consultant Partnerships

Job Overview 

We are seeking a career Business Development leader who is passionate about shaping what the future of digital health will look like.  You will be leading a team on the forefront of forging impactful strategic partnerships & initiatives across a variety of healthcare verticals.  In this role you will be responsible for owning consultant strategy development, execution, consultant engagement, & the professional development of yourself & those you lead.  These key attributes & expectations are laid out below. 

Consultant Strategy, Execution, & Innovation

  • Lead 2+ Business Development managers in executing on Omadas 3-5 year BD strategy, with specific focus on new potential revenue opportunities & developing consultant relationships
  • Lead research efforts to understand new potential verticals that Omada might be interested in pursuing & who the key target partners are within each 
  • Ensure sales approach is congruent with company expectations, decks, collateral, & other assets used during the BD sales process
  • Facilitates & lead point person for strategic initiatives & execution outlined in overarching Consultant Strategy
  • Collaborates across enterprise & connects internal resources & stakeholders to effectively position & execute consultant strategy (in conjunction with leadership)
  • Connects internal resources to ensure alignment & collaboration to position to win
  •  Highly effective cross-functional collaboration to drive process improvements
  • Serve as marketing support liaison to partner with B2B Marketing and  influence effective communication approach & marketing initiatives for the  consultant relations strategy
  • Data analytics skills to assist in evaluation of consultant practice book of business, dashboard/scorecard metric tracking & evaluation, ongoing tracking of consultant & sales activity as it relates to consultant tracking
  • Strong presentation development skills

Consultant Engagement, Strategy Development, Business Acumen

  • Strategic relationship management skills spanning numerous consultant stakeholders & decision makers
  • Understands trends in the market & translates to benefit consultant relationships
  • Fosters trusted advisor status with consultant relationships to support sales growth & profitability
  • Support sales, account teams & other internal stakeholders (product, legal, pricing, etc.) in building & maintaining strong relationships with consultants to improve sales & retention efforts
  • Ability to create & execute strategic plans by consulting practice/brokerages
  • Strong business skills including understanding of PBM pricing & contracting to support sales growth
  • Healthcare/digital health/wellbeing experience
  • Ability to create & execute annual strategic plan for established key metrics & market dynamics
  • Understand & support sales & leveraging of consultant relationships
  • Understanding of Challenger sales methodology
  • Strategic approach to consultant relationship management; applies best practices across consultant relationships
  • Ability to influence product enhancements/solutions/value propositions based on market trends/direction & priorities

Professional Development

  • Ongoing professional development associated with keeping abreast of healthcare industry, develops understanding of financial models/pricing, contracting, & network management
  • Challenger model acumen & ongoing refinement of approach, methodology, & process to support sales initiatives

To be considered for this job, you must:

  • Have at least 15 years of experience in Business Development & strategy
  • Have 5+ years as a leader of a Business Development team with demonstrated success in Benefit Consultant partnerships
  • Passion for finding new ways in which Omada can partner with leading healthcare organizations to expand our overall impact 
  • Desire & ability to work with Omadas C-Suite leaders
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams & outside partners
  • Detail oriented & can communicate effectively
