  Description

Position Summary: The Return Center Supervisor is responsible for managing the day to day activities of the Product Returns Department, ensuring the highest level quality of service provided by our associates, while supporting the policies, goal, & objectives of the company.

 Essential Functions:

  • Manage all product return exceptions
  • Monitor Returns Process to ensure all areas are covered & functioning
  • Direct all returns flow & allocation of resources
  • Drive productivity through the Performance Management processes
  • Participate & help manage programs to reduce shorts as they pertain to the Returns Center
  • Provide ongoing support to the Operations
  • Ensure all procedures, policies, & shorts awareness are thoroughly understood by support staff
  • Work with Operations Center Management & Field Managers to create & streamline processes
  • Clearly communicate company objectives ensuring staff is well informed
  • Train, motivate & develop support staff to reach their fullest potential, optimize productivity & achieve team goals
  • Manage staff schedule in accordance to budget and/or business needs by utilizing the staffing model designed by department (where necessary)
  • Resolve employee grievances & concerns & partner with HR on high level investigations
  • Identify & train talent for the department including coaching, training & develop matrixes & standards of continued excellence
  • Guide, direct & motivate staff around Performance Management & Labor Planning
  • Be a change agent by identifying areas of improvement, implementing new processes & documenting them accordingly with the partnership of Sr. Management
  • Support & participate various company projects, initiatives & programs as needed

 Interactions:

 Supervision Received: 

  • Plans & carries out work assignments; resolves most conflicts which arise; coordinates work with others as necessary; interprets policy on own initiative in terms of established objectives.  Keeps Leadership informed of progress, potentially controversial matters, or far-reaching implications
  • Plans, designs, & carries out programs, projects, studies, or other work independently.  Receives little or no supervision from leader

Supervisory Duties: 

  • Trains, assigns work to, & checks work of five (5) or more Team members; participates in the decision to hire, fire, & promote Team members; does not conduct the same work as Team members on a regular basis

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends & / or Holidays & be able to keep a flexible schedule during high volume production periods
  • Five plus (5+) years’ experience in a supervisory / management position
  • High School diploma/ & or equivalent / Associates degree preferred
  • Work outside in the element during all seasons
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, & Word
  • Previous knowledge or experience with WMS, ERP or MPS
  • Demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities through previous work experience & education
  • Effective time management & prioritization skills
  • Proven ability to lead, train & develop a team
  • Strong communication skills both written & oral
  • Knowledge of department production processes, materials & production techniques
  • Previous Knowledge or experience with specialized inventory, warehouse operations systems
