We are seeking
A highly driven & analytical Senior Financial Accountant that is CPA certified to join our Accounting team within Trilogy Education Services. As an experienced Senior Accountant you will reconcile account balances & bank statements, maintain general ledger & prepare month-end close procedures. The ideal candidate will combine excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports & forecasts. This individual will work with the Controller & Assistant Controller on a series of significant projects which will support Trilogys continuing expansion, both domestically & internationally.
Lead the month-end close process on a day-to-day basis
Work closely with FP&A on reporting results to universities
Ensure revenue & expenses are captured in accordance with the companys accounting policies.
Own the monthly reconciliation process for all balance sheet accounts including accounts receivable, deferred revenue, university-related payables, fixed assets, & cash.
Prepare & maintain transfer pricing records & reconciliations, global intercompany reconciliations & eliminations, balance sheet reconciliations & journal entries.
Review & analyze balance sheet & profit & loss accounts
Participate in other ad hoc project, month-end close process & corporate accounting functions when required
Assist in preparation of public-company equivalent financial statements & footnotes
Utilize the FloQast tool to manage the close process & reduce the time to close
Collaborate on process improvement & implement processes as necessary
Assist with audits & tax returns as needed
What makes you a great fit for this role (Requirements):
A completed Bachelors Degree in Accounting
2-4 years of public company experience
8+ years of relevant experience in accounting & month-end close
Foreign currency & corporate income tax exposure preferred.
Understanding of accounts payable, purchasing & general ledger accounting processes
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to work as a hands-on team player in a small group environment across all levels of the company
