Change.org is the world's largest technology platform for social change, with almost 200 million users in 196 countries. Our vision is to build a world where no one is powerless & where creating change is a part of everyday life.
The Change.org Foundation leverages Change.org's technology & audience, & combines it with campaigning, communications & capacity-building expertise to incubate & accelerate movements led by the people most affected by the issues they seek to confront. We are a separate, sister entity to Change.org. We currently operate in 10 countries across Asia, Latin America & Europe, & expect to expand our geographic footprint in the coming years. We recognise the need to empower people affected by some of the most urgent & critical issues facing the world today -- issues like violence against women, commercial sexual exploitation of children, & access to democracy.
This is an incredibly exciting time to join our team: we've already built a toolset that allows anyone with an internet connection - anywhere in the world - to start a campaign to make the world a better place. Now we are ready to massively increase our impact in the Global South with a series of ambitious projects to help ordinary people to do extraordinary things.
That's where you come in. We are hiring a Development Specialist to work in partnership with the Global Executive Director of the Change.org Foundation, Preethi Herman
. In this role, you'll create & drive a Development Strategic Plan that supports the next generation of ambitious Foundation projects.
You will sustain & build upon the relationships already established, plan fundraising for the next 12-24 months, & coordinate with Country & Regional Directors to execute on plans to maximize income. This is a self-directed role that requires the leadership & vision to drive fundraising & sponsorship activities across the organization; with a special in-person focus on developing partnerships within the US, & a supporting role on the development of partnerships abroad. The work ranges from administrative responsibilities to strategic big picture work, & so we need a versatile & flexible team player: someone who is a skilled communicator, an excellent project manager, & a smooth operator capable of engaging with strategic partners of all levels.
This position is full time, based in New York or Paris.
