Job Description:

Working within Appians Marketing team & reporting to the Vice President of Global Events, Field & Partner Marketing, the Field Marketing Director will drive & manage strategy designed to grow & accelerate the sales pipeline & revenue for Appian. The role is responsible for North America & responsibilities include overseeing budget, quarterly planning, alignment to sales & marketing goals/metrics & execution of field marketing programs, activities & regional events for Appian. The role will also be responsible for operational, implementation & post-program activities.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Area & Regional Sales Vice Presidents to identify & enable lead gen activities in each North American region, including the Public Sector & Canada, to support pipeline growth as well as growth within Appians customer base 
  • Develop & execute quarterly marketing plans to support lead gen metrics
  • Conduct post event analysis & determine ROI of Field activities based on data
  • Develop viable account-based marketing activities to align with account specific plans
  • Conduct research & develop feasibility studies to identify new program opportunities for Appian
  • Determine fiscal requirements & prepare budget for Field programs 
  • Work closely with internal & external stakeholders to define program goals & objectives that promote Appians brand & drive pipeline
  • Foster Sales & Marketing alignment through regular program reporting & quarterly business reviews
  • Ability to travel up to 15% 

About you:

  • 8+ years experience in a Field Marketing Leadership role in an Enterprise Software environment
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience in crafting results-driven marketing programs
  • Critical thinking, problem solving skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to report & analyze program metrics & ROI
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills coupled with strong presentation skills 
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced & results-oriented environment
  • Exercises a high degree of tact & diplomacy 
  • Experienced in using CRM & Marketing Automation systems/tools
