Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Senior Regulatory Analyst to join our C+O team.

About the role

As a Senior Regulatory Analyst within our Regulatory Operations team, you will support our small group Cigna plus Oscar business, as well as, other Oscar partnership products as time permits. This will include developing & formatting our core insurance policy documents. Through tracking & analysis you will gain an understanding of new regulation & legislation affecting our insurance products. Other responsibilities will include maintaining ownership of workflows, tools & requirements to ensure operational success

You will guide the development of process improvements & facilitate cross-functional support where needed. This will be accomplished by working with multiple internal Oscar teams, & our external regulators.

You will report to the Manager of Regulatory Operations. This is a remote / work-from-home role. You must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Washington.   • Conduct comprehensive information searches for projects as assigned by counsel. Identify & review relevant statutes, regulations, & sub-regulatory guidance. Synthesize research findings for counsel's review.
  • Identify, track, & transmit regulatory & legislative updates as assigned by counsel.
  • Maintain a repository of legal guidance & resources.
  • Review, edit & contribute to building the overall process we use to write Policies.
  • With guidance from your manager, work on multiple, simultaneous & diverse assignments while adhering to deadlines & managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Support cross-training, problem-solving, & knowledge development across Oscar.


  • Bachelor's degree in legal studies, political science, public policy, or other relevant field, or a combination of education & experience.
  • 2+ years of healthcare industry regulatory analysis experience, ideally in the health plan/managed care space.
  • Proficiency in Westlaw, iTrak, & Google Sheets.
  • Proficiency in designing & improving workflows, & demonstrative project management experience.

Bonus points

  • Experience with project management.
  • Experience with the small group health insurance market is a plus!
