THE POSITION:

We are looking for a Payroll Tax Manager that will manage the payroll to ensure smooth operation of all payroll tax matters. Reporting directly to the Payroll Director, the candidate will be involved in a wide range of duties.  

THE GAME PLAN:
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Independently research & escalate new payroll tax legislation, reporting requirements, & associated risks across the US, UK, & Canada
  • Manage the payroll tax policies, processes, & administration across multiple operating companies & countries
  • Oversee & ensure the accuracy of periodic, quarterly, & annual payroll tax filings
  • Register for & maintain state, local, & provincial tax jurisdictions
  • Review agency tax notices & take appropriate corrective action
  • Prepare & remit payroll tax returns outside of vendors scope
  • Support company positions in tax audits
  • Collaborate with the People, Legal, & Finance business units on general payroll, mobility, equity & reporting matters with cross functional impact
  • Ensure all pay polices comply with jurisdictional requirements
  • Manage internal & external payroll tax inquiries within a timely & professional manner
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

THE STATS:
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • BA/BS degree in related field preferred
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll required
  • Corporate multinational tax environment experience (US, UK, CAN)
  • Strong experience in data analytics systems (Power Query, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Knowledge of in-patriate & ex-patriate payroll & tax scenarios
  • Knowledge of multi-jurisdiction & remote work taxation
  • Experience in taxation of compensation plans, stock-based compensation, deferred compensation, & qualified plans
  • Excellent skills using MS Excel
  • Experience with Dayforce Payroll & Timekeeping preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality & exercise extreme discretion
  • Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, & high level of attention to detail & accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills, & the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to handle & prioritize multiple tasks, work with large amounts of data & meet all deadlines
