About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a candidate with excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, & a high level of attention to detail. The candidate will provide primary support to the Director of Investor Relations, with additional direct exposure to senior executives (CEO/CIO, COO/CRO, CFO & GC/CCO). The candidate will interact with investors & prospects on a regular basis, so a professional demeanor & customer service mindset is critical. This is a small team with aggressive targets, & the ideal candidate will also have a strong work ethic & drive for professional development. We offer competitive compensation & excellent benefits. The role is based in our New York office. Some amount of travel may be required.

Key responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of the marketing & fundraising cycle, including materials preparation, lead sourcing, roadshow planning, due diligence facilitation, subscription processing, & client servicing
  • Streamline & maintain the firms CRM system
  • Develop processes with Director of IR for sourcing & engaging with new prospects, & execute on same (database searches, cold calling, etc.)
  • Schedule & spearhead coordination of all marketing & due diligence meetings, including preparation of materials
  • Update marketing collateral on a monthly & quarterly basis, including performance reports, due diligence questionnaires, pitchbooks & bespoke presentations/reports; coordinate with compliance department for review & approval of same
  • Conceptualize & execute on key asset raising strategies & activities, including speaking events, conferences, roadshows & other networking opportunities
  • Assist investors with completion of subscription documents & AML process requirements
  • Coordinate with fund administrator on processing of investor documentation
  • Support COO/CRO & Director of IR in managing ongoing investor requests & queries
  • Manage & drive digital communications, including social media

Experience/Qualifications

In addition to the previously mentioned qualities, the ideal candidate will also demonstrate the following:

  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in finance, economics, marketing or business with strong GPA
  • 1-3 years of related experience (ideally in a client-facing role)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Prior experience with Salesforce or other CRM a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • A desire to work in a team environment, often under pressure
  • Ability to prioritize & complete projects within deadline
  • Impeccable personal & professional integrity, including the ability to handle highly sensitive information with appropriate discretion
  • FINRA Series 3 license a plus (and may be required upon hire)
