What is the key purpose of a Publisher Sales Director?
Taboolas SMB Publisher Sales team is responsible for exploring new opportunities with online publishers based in North America to increase our scale & reach in the region. Our team in New York City helps our clients engage & retain loyal visitors while generating revenue direct to the bottom line. These long term partnerships are how Taboola now reaches almost half the worlds internet population & what attracts our premium advertisers to spend with us.
As a Sales Director, you will take ownership over the SMB Publisher book of business in North America, lead a team of sellers in a high-growth, rapidly evolving, & dynamically competitive market, & successfully onboard ComScore 500 to 10,000 publishers in order to monetize their sites. Your leadership will have a direct impact on the success of our customers, the development of your team, & the success of Taboola!
What skills & qualifications do I need?
For this role, it is essential that you have:
- An extensive & proven track record managing large Inside Sales Teams
- A results & goal driven mentality, with a high comfort level with data analysis
- A passion for high volume, short sales cycle business development
- Advanced knowledge of the competitive landscape in the ad tech industry
- Extensive experience with performance management, business planning & forecasting
What will I be doing on a day-to-day basis?
As a Publisher Sales Director, you will:
- Be the inspirational leader of a highly productive team of 6+ SMB Publisher Sales professionals based in New York City
- Be able to think creatively about the sales process & use entrepreneurship to define best practices, while motivating sales reps to achieve quota in highly competitive environment
- Collaborate with internal cross functional Taboola Teams (Business, Operations & Tech) that allow the SMB Publisher Sales teams to maintain its expected high volume of activities
- Build C-level relationships with premium publisher clients & strategic business partners
- Work alongside the Global Director of SMB Publisher Sales on the planning & execution of Taboolas SMB Publisher business in North America
- Present the achievements of the SMB Publisher Sales team to the Senior Executive Team through quarterly presentations
