Caira Surgical is recruiting for a Software Engineer/Sr. Software Engineer. The position is hybrid remote.

We're looking for a talented application developer to join our team as Software Engineer/ Sr. Software Engineer to spearhead our Navigation Application development. This position is remote, but proximity to Tampa, FL is preferred.
At Caira we all work closely with our surgeon design team to create surgical solutions focused on improving clinical outcomes for total joint replacement procedures. Understanding the surgical environment as part of the user needs as well so we can provide efficient and attractive solutions for the Surgeons and the entire OR staff.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with Marketing and Surgeon Designers to ensure user needs are properly understood and well documented.
Create project plans and timelines for Development, Verification & Validation and Deployment of Surgical Navigation Applications
Design and develop Surgical Navigation Applications meeting the user needs following the Product Development Process and Quality System guidelines.
Collaborate with the rest of the team to ensure applications align with the organization's goals, as well as customer needs.
Participate with Operations, Quality and Regulatory colleagues to develop and support quality processes, procedural documentation, regulatory filings, and complaint handling.
Continuously look for opportunities to improve our overall application development process and overall development efficiency.
Work Regulatory to stay current with FDA guidance and requirements.
Remain current on technology trends to keep our software as innovative and extensible as possible
Stay on track of the application lifecycle to ensure necessary updates are completed on time

Proficient with software development tools and other various applications for project management, record keeping, word processing, spreadsheet, etc.
Education/Experience Requirements
B.S. (or higher) in Computer Science or engineering.
Proven experience (professional or otherwise) as an application developer.
Proven ability to develop in C/C++, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
Experience with Qt.
Experience with Agile software development processes is preferred.
Critical and analytical thinking skills, and a keen attention to detail
