About Care/of

Care/of (takecareof.com) is a fast-growing, venture-backed wellness startup. We make it easier & more enjoyable to shop for vitamins & supplements (and maybe even a little fun, too). Our technology makes it possible for people to get custom recommendations based on their diets & health goals, which we deliver in convenient daily packs with a touch of joy. We aim to help people feel empowered to make the right choices for their health by being transparent about the research backing up our recommendations & the quality of our products. What youll do:

The New Products team at Care/of sits at the intersection of physical products (like our vitamins & protein powders) & digital products (like our website & mobile app). We work on both filling in the assortment within our core business & launching completely new product categories. You will have a central role on this team, helping us imagine the next set of products well launch, setting the strategy for those new products, & bringing them to market. This is a highly cross-functional role, where youll be collaborating with teams across the organization & involved in every aspect of new product launches from product formulation to new digital experiences to packaging design & order fulfillment.

  • Inform decisions on what we make & why
  • Own bringing new products to market from ideation to launch, including cross-functional planning & project management
  • Lead user research to help us understand our customers needs & build products to solve them
  • Stay up on trends in the market, including competitor research & intel
  • Collaborate with digital product on making our online quiz & product recommendations better & better
  • Help manage & optimize current & new products once theyre in-market

Who you are:

  • General athlete with 2-4 years of experience in an analytic & strategic role within retail or consumer products (e.g., management consulting, corporate strategy, private equity, or brand management)
  • Comfortable with numbers & quantitative thinking - youll be making data-driven decisions based on analytical insights, using Excel analysis & modeling
  • Collaborative & communicative team player who enjoys working & driving projects & processes cross-functionally with a wide range of personalities
  • Self-directed problem-solver - youre proactive in tackling new challenges & working through uncertainty
  • Avid follower or customer of the wellness space yourself - you always love learning about & trying out new products
  • Someone who can *really* understand our customer - youre deeply empathetic when it comes to understanding consumer psychology, needs & behaviors & enjoy doing user research

Extra Carrots :

  • Experience launching new products (digital or physical)
  • Background in consumer health & wellness
  • Track record of performing user research (qualitative & quantitative)
  • Experience working in or with high-growth start-ups
