Who You Are

The global product team at AccuWeather is seeking a Senior Analyst, Digital Analytics to support the way in which AccuWeather collects, reports & provides insights to the rest of the organization for our non-mobile & mobile applications. This position is joining an expanding Analytics, Audience Development, & Consumer Insights team & will collaborate with digital product managers, business stakeholders & development teams across the organization to help implement & validate the digital data collection processes, document data capture methodologies & measurement strategies with help from the digital analytics & BI. team, leveraging a number of online tools, help interpret complex data & convey concise analysis & recommendations to stakeholders, you will also assist with monitoring KPIs & trends to help drive tactical & strategic business decisions.

To succeed in this role, you should have strong technical acumen, exceptional problem-solving capabilities & be extremely detail oriented. This role is perfectly suited for someone with a passion for data, digital technologies & those interested in leveraging data & technology to improve the end users experience.

Your day-to-day

  • Work with internal or external data partners to collect, organize, & connect various data sources, ranging from ad server data audience analytics data, performance marketing data, third-party revenue, off-platform revenue, etc.
  • Perform deep dive analysis into specific KPIs to understand the underlying influences
  • Interface regularly with partners & data team; proactively identify & resolve issues that arise including reporting discrepancies, data inaccuracies
  • Evaluate existing & develop new metrics, reports, & dashboards
  • Establish & maintain a process to govern & educate business teams around A/B testing & personalization
  • Maintain detailed documentation of analytics tools & measurement strategies
  • Leverage data visualization tools to curate reporting for cross-functional teams
  • Collaborate with product management teams & other key stakeholders to define & implement necessary requirements in order to properly report on relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Provide digital asset tagging instructions for website & mobile app development teams

Your experience

  • Bachelors Degree in computer science, Information Systems, Technical Marketing or equivalent experience/training
  • 3+ years of experience using Google Analytics, or other industry-leading analytics tools & familiarity with web data, traffic from a site tagging & data collection perspective
  • Proficiency in SQL SQL / R / Python / BigQuery a plus
  • Familiarity with testing/personalization platforms (ie. Adobe Test & Target, Optimizely, Dynamic Yield)
  • Working knowledge of Data visualization dashboards (Looker, Domo, QlikView/QlikSense, Tableau, or any other BI tools)
  • Experience with data integration or ETL processing related projects
  • High level of attention to detail, quality, & effective oral & written communication skills, along with excellent follow-through
  • Understanding of digital/media/marketing data sources & metrics preferred: Digital (e.g. Web, Social, Display, Search etc.)
  • Willingness to learn & adapt to a changing environment
  • Experience in working with, managing & mentoring teams preferred
  • A genuine interest & knowledge of the media & digital industry landscape
