THE POSITION: Our roster has an opening with your name on it
We are currently looking for an experienced Media Planning Director to lead a team to drive significant acquisition & revenue growth through best in class media planning & optimization for our National & Local campaigns across our different products & channels. The ideal candidate will know how to build & develop a successful program to scale complex marketing campaigns across an evolving & complicated & regulated media environment. THE GAME PLAN: Everyone on our team has a part to play
- Key stakeholder responsible for the success of our acquisition, current customer & re-activation KPIs of multiple programs within the practice with a core focus on evolving towards a ROAS operating model
- Oversee the Media Planning program & work closely with external agency partners, internal program leads, channel managers & business/marketing stakeholders to translate business objectives into on-going strategic media solutions that achieve our business & marketing goals
- Ensure best practices & strategic consistency across the Group of products & all elements of product specific media plan development & implementation, heavily focusing on a balanced performance-and brand based media & analytics driven approach to achieve goals
- Work directly with vendors & channel managers to continue to maximize media efficiency & value to drive performance improvement & innovation across partners
- Aid in media & partner negotiations
- Ensure team is following internal & external processes & cadences for streamlined & timely workflow
- Oversee final reporting analysis of campaigns alongside other internal teams, ensuring outputs are accurate & tie back to stated objectives
- Leverage & improve upon attribution models functionalities & benefits to build media recommendations & optimize future campaigns
- Oversee development of strategic media framework for annual/quarterly/monthly/weekly/daily plans across our various campaigns
- Build & maintain complex flowcharts to help organize teams, roadmaps & overall plan schematics
- Ensure strategic alignment across all channels & teams, to ensure a fully integrated approach
- Steward media forecasting & on-going budget management & portfolio optimization
- Manage, coach & develop an internal team with a culture that encourages intelligent risk taking, innovation & creativity
THE STATS: What we're looking for in our next teammate
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in media planning & strategy across traditional & digital media
- 3+ years of experience in managing a multi-tiered team & multiple product & business lines within a broader corporate organization is preferred
- Simultaneous Local & National campaign experience preferred
- Agency experience preferred
- Strong leadership skills & experience working with & developing media experts
- Strong media industry relationships
- Bachelor's degree with strong academic record and/or proven relevant experience in a performance marketing role at either an agency or on the operator side
- Meaningful experience working with performance marketing & media metrics (CPM, CPI, CPA, CPC & LTV) & understanding of the utilization & relationship between them
- Analytically driven with strong understanding of underlying data & methodologies used to inform decision making & drive performance management
- Demonstrated experience in merging business performance data with 3rd party research & media planning information
- Experience negotiating favorable rates & deal structures with advertising partners
- Strong understanding of marketing testing & reporting methodologies
- Ability to succinctly communicate both verbally & in writing, & provide clear direction on projects
- Ability to interface with a wide range of internal teams & ability to build strong relationships internally & externally
- Ability to work within a dynamic environment with tight deadlines & moving targets
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Meticulous attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, project management skills, & ability to multi-task & prioritize
- Knowledge or understanding of the business & culture of sports & gaming preferred
- Experience working across multiple businesses within a larger corporate structure is preferred
